A NEW BRAND // SAMANTHA JAMES
My heart is bursting! I have been so excited to share this with you. Bradley James Photography is re-branding! This has been a carefully executed creative process and I'm so happy to be sharing this journey with you! Let's start with the most obvious question.
THE HEART BEHIND SAMANTHA JAMES PHOTOGRAPHY
My husband Brad and I have experienced some incredible changes over the past several months both professionally and personally. I'm here to tell you about some of them today! Both of us have a huge heart for students in the church. Before we were engaged, we were serving together in student ministries. In fall of 2014, our church had a sudden and unexpected need for a youth pastor and Brad was asked to step into the role on an interim basis. We prayed and felt strongly that it was God's calling for Brad in that season. Fast forward to last summer. As the church determined how they were going to move forward, they began searching for someone to fulfill this role in a full time position. Through serving on a deeper level with students in our church, Brad discovered an undeniable passion for the ministry. After more conversations, prayer and dreaming about the future of our family, we decided he would apply for the job. The interview process was long and thorough, but ultimately, Brad was offered the job. This was truly an answer to prayer!
A NEW IDENTITY
Being co-owner of this business has provided me with incredible opportunities both as a creative individual and entrepreneur. I have had the honor and privilege of working with some truly remarkable people and I wouldn't be where I am today without my fantastic clients. With Brad stepping away, it is no longer relevant to have his name representing the business or presenting the brand as a "husband & wife" team. My hope for the new brand is to keep confusion to a minimum and still honor the name that has lead me to where I am today. So, it is with great pleasure and hope for the future that I announce the new name for my business, Samantha James Photography!
WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD?
We couldn't be happier that Brad is currently working as a full time youth pastor! He's active in the lives of students in our community and pours his heart and soul into teaching this generation about God's love. Committed elsewhere, Brad and I were left to make some decisions about what to do with our photography business. While Brad transitioned into his new job, I continued to successfully operate and maintain Bradley James Photography. I absolutely love what I do and I couldn't imagine leaving something I'm so passionate about. Brad will fulfill his role for any clients we had booked previously as a team, but I will continue to run the business on my own from this point on. This may seem like a big change, but I have already been serving in the capacity as the primary photographer for weddings and photography sessions as well as handling all of the business tasks in the office. While Brad's career focus is with student ministry, he continues to encourage me in my business endeavors and has been my greatest support throughout this process.
